Tsklup
წკლუპ

Tsklup—or in Georgian script წკლუპ (ts’k’lup’)—is a word inspired by the sounds of rain.

It is not an established Georgian word (yet). Its rhythm recalls Georgian onomatopoeias: small sounds that make rain and water audible.

წკაპუნი (ts’k’ap’uni) is the patter or dripping sound of drops. In a related form, წკაპწკუპი (ts’k’ap’ts’k’up’i), a sharp ts’k’ap is answered by a rounder ts’k’up. Rain arriving one drop at a time.
